Yesterday we took a road trip with Grandpa Dymond to Reedsburg, WI for Uncle Larry's 70th birthday. On the way there, Noah says to me, Mom, how come you don't like straight shiny beautiful hair? If you have a 6 year old, you already know where this is heading.

I do like straight shiny beautiful hair, Noah.

Well, why don't you have it then? he asks.

You might think I'd be outraged by that, but I know my son, I knew it was coming, and I knew he'd recover. He always does.

Noah, are you trying tell me you don't like my hair?

Well.... it isn't straight, and it isn't shiny....but it is beautiful.

See, I told you he'd recover.

And then he adds...he can't help himself, he was born this way....you know, Mom, you can buy something to help you with the shine.
